Sepsis remains one of the most challenging conditions to identify early in the emergency department. Patients may present with nonspecific symptoms, evolving organ dysfunction, or overlapping signs of infection and inflammation, while treatment decisions often need to be made before the full clinical picture is clear.

This complimentary webinar explores the role of Procalcitonin (PCT) in the ED assessment of suspected sepsis, including how it may contribute to diagnosis, risk assessment, rule-out support, antibiotic decision-making, and treatment follow-up.

The session will also discuss how PCT can be interpreted alongside clinical findings, lactate, CRP, SOFA/qSOFA criteria, microbiology, imaging, and other investigations to support a more complete assessment of patients with suspected infection or sepsis.
