The principles of transcutaneous monitoring

Transcutaneous monitoring is an innovative and highly accurate technology

It’s the method of choice to continuously and non-invasively monitor oxygenation and ventilation. Through a sensor applied to the body, blood gases diffusing through the skin can be detected and estimated.

Transcutaneous monitoring is a highly useful trending tool to non-invasively monitor oxygenation (tcpO2) and ventilation (tcpCO2) status. It provides vital real-time information, allowing you to take immediate action when needed to improve patient safety and comfort.

Radiometer’s TCM monitors report any changes in oxygen uptake, carbon dioxide washout, transport and release as reflected in tcpO2 and tcpCO2 values.

All of Radiometer's TCM monitors include on-board tutorials and user-guided messages to simplify operation.  They are small and easily portable, with a built-in battery that allows for monitoring of patients even during transport.

An integrated data memory allows for downloading of patient measurements to a PC or export to a USB stick for detailed analysis on a PC. All the monitors can be connected directly to a printer.
