Key opinion leaders provide an insight into best practice in acute cardiac care

Radiometer, a leading provider of technologically advanced acute care testing solutions, is pleased to announce the publication of Excellence in acute cardiac care, a supplement to the European Heart Journal: Acute Cardiovascular Care

August 22, 2014

Healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders from around the world recently provided a holistic view of current thinking in the field of acute cardiac biomarker testing to delegates at the thought-provoking seminar Excellence in acute cardiac care. Some of the most prominent names in the field delivered insights into the latest advances in this critical sector, and how they are being successfully integrated into different workplace scenarios.

A range of inter-related topics were discussed, including troponin and natriuretic peptide testing, implementation of lean methodologies and point-of-care testing, and a critical review of pre-analytical variables for blood gas and immunoassay testing. The Radiometer-sponsored event – approved by the Acute Cardiovascular Care Association of the European Society of Cardiology – was held at the European Heart House in Sophia Antipolis, France, in March 2014.

The supplement provides a useful reference document for healthcare professionals wishing to delve further into this important subject, providing an overview of the individual presentations given at the seminar.
