Vascular diagnostics

Transcutaneous blood gas monitoring for vascular diagnostics

By non-invasively providing accurate quantitative information about cutaneous oxygenation and perfusion, the TCM400 monitor is a valuable diagnostic tool for the assessment of:

  • Critical limb ischemia
  • Wound care treatment
  • Optimal amputation level
  • Post surgery wound healing evaluation
  • Hyperbaric oxygen treatment
  • Free flap survival

Transcutaneous oxygen tension (tcpO2) provides information on the oxygen supply to the tissue, so any changes in oxygen uptake, transport or release will be reflected by the tcpO2 value. In case of circulatory problems, peripheral vasoconstriction in the skin occurs before major organs suffer.

In hyperbaric oxygen treatment of wounds tcpO2 monitoring using the TCM400 monitor is widely used to provide accurate quantitative information about the oxygenation and perfusion of the skin.
