Analytical performance
Several international researchers have found the performance of the AQT90 FLEX analyzer comparable to or better than assays currently issued
TnI
Poster presented at the AACB 2009:
TnI on the AQT90 FLEX analyzer was compared to the AccuTnI DxI 800 assay. The study concluded that the TnI assayon the AQT90 FLEX analyzer could be used in emergency department settings to produce results comparable to the laboratory assay, given the application of an appropriate slope and intercept.
Poster presented at the IFCC 2009:
The study examined TnI performance on the AQT90 FLEX analyzer. Findings included a 10 % CV at the 99th percentile and that the method proved simple to use, rapid and safe while delivering satisfactory analytical performance. The study also found the technology suitable for use by unskilled personnel in critical settings, such as emergency departments and cardiac care units.
Poster presented at the AACC 2009:
This study evaluated TnI and beta-hCG performance on the AQT90 FLEX analyzer. Both assays proved to be accurate and useful for testing in an emergency room setting.
D-dimer
Article on Thrombosis Research published in 2010:
The analytical and clinical performance of AQT90 FLEX analyzer D-dimer assay is compared to the performance of four routine D-dimer assays. The conclusions are that the D-dimer on the AQT90 FLEX analyzer demonstrates excellent analytical and diagnostic performance. The negative and positive predictive values, specificity, sensitivity and area under ROC curve of the AQT90 FLEX analyzer D-dimer assay are for both proximal and distal DVT comparable to routine D-dimer assays.
Poster presented at the AACC 2010:
The study, which compared the AQT90 FLEX analyzer D-dimer to the Vidas D-dimer, found strong concordance. Of 116 patients, 13 were shown to have DVT and/or PE. The AQT90 D-dimer correctly identified all the patients as positives, while the Vidas only identified 11 of the 13 patients as positives.
Poster presented at the ISTH 2009:
The study compared performance of the D-dimer on the AQT90 FLEX analyzer to four other D-dimer assays: Vidas, Liatest (Stago), Auto-Dimer (Biopool) and AxSYM. The findings showed the D-dimer test on the AQT90 FLEX analyzer demonstrated excellent performance for diagnosing DVT and that the negative predictive value (NPV) and ROC curve demonstrated diagnostic performance comparable to established D-dimer assays.
