Top-level performance makes the AQT90 FLEX ideal for emergency departments, studies say

Three independent comparison studies out now praise the top-level performance of the Troponin (I) assay on Radiometer’s AQT90 FLEX immunoassay analyzer. According to them, the quality of the AQT90 FLEX’s analytical performance and its ease of use make the instrument ideal for the critical settings such as Emergency Departments (ED) and cardiac care units.

All the three studies have found that the value of the Troponin I assay on the AQT90 FLEX with a 10 % coefficient of variation (CV) is very close to the 99th percentile, which fully complies with internationally recommended performance levels for that assay. Because of the instrument’s automated steps and ease of use, the studies go on to recommend the AQT90 FLEX for testing of cardiac markers at the point of care.

 
The studies were conducted at the Padova University Hospital in Italy, the Oulu University Hospital in Finland and Mater Pathology in Brisbane, Australia. Performance of the AQT90 FLEX TnI assay was compared to RxL Dimension, ADVIA Centaur and the Architect i2000SR respectively.
